Have you heard of Ramsign ?  They are a sign company specializing in porcelain enamel signs for your home.  These signs are widely seen throughout Europe.  They are bringing the hand stenciled method to modern day design.  Each personalized sign comes with a lifetime guarantee.  Their bright and vibrant colors will not fade over time. House signs not only identify your home, but they can be an additional decorative feature. Ramsign started back in 1991 by Nick Brandt.  He opened a small shop to sell hand-stenciled enamel signs.  The response was good from his buyers and the business took off.  People felt an emotional connection to the signs.  Over the years, the company developed a classic catalog.  The company storefront closed but they are still growing and producing new products. DIY Blanket Ladder

Hey good people.  Ha ppy Wednesday. I had a corner of the living room that was always empty.  I never knew quite what I wanted there.  I had always seen these ladders around the internet and thought about making one but never got around to it. So one day I decided to just go for it.  It was an easy project so I don't know what took me so long. Supplies: (2) 2x2x8 furring strips (8) 2 inch wood screws Stain of your choice I started with eight foot pieces.  They were less than $2 a piece.  I had the fine gentleman at Lowes cut them down for me.  Each eight foot piece was cut down to (1) five foot piece and (2) eighteen inch pieces.  This would give me a five foot tall ladder with eighteen inch rungs. I laid out my pieces to assemble.  The top rung is six inches from the top.  The remaining rungs are 12 inches apart from the top of the previous rung. Using two inch wood screws, attach the rungs to the side pieces. Stain your ladder.  I used

Make It Happen

Hello 2017! I'm starting this year off with positive thinking.  This year, I am changing some things.  When I started this blog almost six years ago, it was to share my home projects and get inspiration from others.  When I say wow, it's an understatement.  There is so much home decor goodness out there.  Tons of designers and aspiring decorators like me.  This blog was just an outlet.  I'm sur e my husband was tired of hearing all my new ideas about what we could change in the house.  I think he was just adding up all the money it would take to fulfill my ideas.  I have always been a fan of HGTV and its makeover shows.   Anybody remem ber watching Trading Spaces?  Loved it.  How cool would it be to change people's houses for a living ? More and more lately, I have been dreaming on what it would be like to wake up and actually do what I love for a living.  I'm consta ntly browsing for eye candy, checking design blogs, scoping out model homes, and making desi
