Have a room that isn't quite finished?  Unsure of what to hang over the sofa? I would love to help you.

What is E-Design?
E-Design is an affordable alternative to traditional design services...it's all done online. We communicate via email to create a custom design for you. It's convenient because we don't have to schedule meetings at your home. I do the work of finding pieces for you.

Process:
- You'll complete a design questionnaire about the space.
     * What room needs to be designed?
     * How do you want the room to feel?
     * How will the room be used?
     * How do you describe your style?
     * Do you have furniture or accessories you are keeping in the space?
     * What colors would you like to see in the space?
     * What's your budget?  
- Send photos and measurements of your space. I need to be able to see the full wall including floor and ceiling.
- Send inspiration photos of rooms that you like and represent your style

What you will receive:
- Customized Design Board


- Product Shopping List


- Overview of design and suggestions for installation


- One round of revisions

Once your design is complete, you install your design at your own pace. It's that easy!

Design Options:

Full service $79 per room
This covers paint colors, furniture, and accessories. It's everything you need to complete an entire room.

 Design Dilemma $35
This is for a space that needs finishing touches like a rug, curtains, pillows, art, lamps, etc. It gives you some direction of where to take your space.

Wall Mounted TV and Hiding The Cords

We mounted the loft TV on the wall last week.  We knew we didn't want those ugly cords connected to the TV to be seen.  I had done a few searches to see what our options were for hiding them.  Turns out, there are several.  My least favorite was the cord cover and I knew that wasn't going to work for me. Here are the pieces we bought from Home Depot.  They are wall plates that allow you to pull the cords through but keep them hidden in the wall. After we figured out where we wanted the holes, using the template in the package, we cut a hole right under the TV mount for the cords coming from the TV.  It made me a little nervous cutting a hole in the wall.  The cords also needed a place to exit at the bottom.  We cut the second hole straight down from the top one, right next to the outlet where the cords would be plugged in. To make it easier to get the dropped cords, we installed the top plate first.  It just goes into the hole and the screws tighten it against

Gray Bathroom Cabinets

From the start, I wanted all the bathroom cabinets to be dark like the master bathroom .  I began my usual search online for more ideas. As I was searching, I came across bathrooms with gray cabinets.  I must say, I love the look. I have seen plenty of gray kitchens but never thought to have the bathroom cabinets gray as well. source   source source   I'm a little torn now.  I like the gray cabinets but with all things, my tastes change, so not sure if I would still like them in a couple years.  If I go this route, it would totally throw a curve into the plan since the walls are already painted.  Gray walls and cabinets would be overload. What do you think about gray cabinets?  Are your cabinets a color you don't see often?

Installing Ikea Lack Shelves

I have wanted built-ins somewhere in my home for forever. They look so classic and they are extra spot to house beautiful home decor pieces. I have seen many a hack for turning the Ikea Billy bookcase into built-ins but I kept debating whether I was up for the challenge. Were built-ins too much for me? In my head I wanted something simpler too.  In my searches for DIY built-ins I kept coming across floating shelves. I love the modernness of them. The clean lines. The way they just seem to be coming out of the wall. There were times where I would browse Homegoods and Target seeing all the pretty things I could put on shelves. Alright done. Floating shelves it was. Once I decided on floating shelves, the debate was whether I wanted to build them or just buy them. Building them meant I could make them the exact size I wanted them to be. Buying them meant I would have to just settle for the size they came in. My wall is 90 inches wide and the shelves are only about 75 inches wide so I
