Nursery Reveal

After months of searching for ideas and putting them all together, I can say this space is finished.  I had so much fun putting it together and now my little boy can enjoy his space for years to come.  This has been one of my favorite projects.  It's packed full of DIY goodness and bargain finds and I love each and every one of them. I wanted his nursery to be fun and young but not so baby where I would have to change a lot as he becomes a toddler.  I kept the walls neutral with gray and added fun colors that can grow as he does. Get ready for lots of pictures.     I'll post details on sources in a later post.  Right now, this little guy is keeping me busy. Big Sister Kit

I was due yesterday but guess who is still with child?  I never thought I would go over my due date. Since I knew my daughter would feel a little left out at the hospital when baby boy arrives, I felt the need to create something just for her.  I had seen on an episode of an infamous television show, the new baby gave the older sibling a gift.  I thought it was rather sweet and took some of the focus off of the new baby entirely.  I know it's not possible that the new baby could give a gift but loved the gesture. I thought of what little brother could give to big sister to make her feel special since her life is changing in a major way.  I picked up a cute Big Sister shirt and I'm A Big Sister book.   The green bucket is from the dollar store.  I printed a label for the front and filled it other little fun things from the dollar store.    I figure this would give her a few things to do while she's waiting around at the hospital and also surprise her sin

Patio Dreaming

Hubby and I have been talking about setting up the patio since we moved in.  The weather is warmer and I'd kind of like to enjoy it.  I'm not exactly the eat dinner outside type but I wouldn't mind hanging out with the family and friends for a while back there.   I always like to see other patios and what ours could be like with a little effort. source source source source source source Aaahhh.  I could totally see myself in any of these spaces relaxing with a glass of iced tea!

A Few Cravings

Well, I'm due in a week but I thought for sure we would meet little man this weekend.  I thought it would have been so cool to meet him on Mother's Day.  Oh well.  He'll come when he gets ready. One thing I'm excited for when this pregnancy is over is wearing real clothes again.  Since spring started, there have been so many cute clothes I have been dying to wear.  Old Navy recently launched a campaign for white jeans.  I loved the commercial with Boyz II Men.  They are one of my favorite guys groups.     source   Another item I've got my eye on from Old Navy is the eyelet dresses.  Something about the tiny waist and texture.  I've already bought one in my pre-pregnancy size hoping it will fit.  source My feet didn't swell up like my first pregnancy so I've been able to wear my normal shoes.  Yep, I'm still wearing heels and wedges.  I have bought a pair though that I haven't worn.  I'm just a little afraid that my feet will
