January Month In Review

Happy Wednesday!  We made it to hump day!  Here's what went on around here in January.   I started the year off by adding more blue to our formal dining room . Coral and Turquoise mixed together creates a beautiful color palette. I shared our plans for the master bedroom makeover .   Online retailer Joss & Main has good flash sales but I showed you some tips to make sure you're getting the best deal. New finds at H&M Home . More model home inspiration . Using fabric, I trimmed the master bedroom curtains to give them a more custom look. In my search for desks, I came across a high and low version . A master bathroom design that is luxurious and soothing. November Month In Review

Yep, December is here.  It seems like this year just moved by so quickly.  Four more weeks and it'll be a new year. Here's what happened around here in November. I did a roundup of some holiday decor from Target. I shared some tips on saving money on home decor. I created a harvest sign for my entry table. I'm helping mom decorate her living room and shared some chair options . Some holiday gift guides to help buy the perfect gift for special people in your life. I finally found a rug for the living room. I shared some decorating ideas for renters. October Month in Review

It's November people!  This year is really rolling on by.  Next thing you know, it'll be Thanksgiving.  It's officially fall around here.  Actually, it feels more like winter.  The lows are in the 30's this week and I don't like it one bit. Here's a recap on what happened around these parts last month. I didn't realize that Walmart had become so trendy in their home decor.  Their new line from Angelo Home is really cute. I created a simple fall table using items I already had.   I shared some past fall projects to help inspire you to do some things around your own home.   Round mirrors are really popular.  They look great in any room.   I was finally able to put a post together including all the paint colors used in our home. Hello there good people!  How's fall treating you?  It's been cool here in the mornings but still around 80 in the afternoons.  We're expected to hit a low of 45 this weekend.  I'm ready but I'm not if this makes sense.  I love my flip flops but I love boots too. Here's what happened around here in September. I took a shot at re-creating a West Elm Inspired Side Table. I found a new place with some decent prices on pillows . Using clearance napkins from Target, I made some pillow covers . CB2 has some fun new accessories that I shared with you.   Lots of inspiration for painted ceilings .     Oh, how I love a good orb chandelier .   I created a Hello Sunshine Printable for my daughter's new desk. Using affordable pieces, I re-created a basement family room . I finally shared my daughter's new desk . Hometalk asked me to curate a board of painted kitchens....

August Month In Review

Yep, August has come to a close.  That means summer is officially ending soon. Here's what happened around here this month.   I shared a round up of sputnik chandeliers . A lot of new items at Target .  They are really staying trendy in the home decor department. A reader of my blog shared her kitchen inspired by my own. We had a guest port from Katie sharing some ways to organize the kitchen. I put together a bedroom of one of my favorite color combos, gray and yellow . Another board and batten project.  This time in the back entry. A fun play room styleboard full of color. A roundup of modern leather sofas . I made an easy DIY clipboard using scrapbook paper. I showed you how to re-create a room using affordable pieces. The Tiny House era is booming.  They are small but packed full of style. School starts next week so the summer activities are coming to a close.  It was packed full of sun and summer camp trips.  Now it's back to homework and early bedtimes.  Why can't summer last a little bit longer? Here's a review for any newbies around these parts or just a recap for those that may have missed something.   I made some DIY flower pots for the patio. I showed you our new patio featuring a set from Target. Book ledges are popping up in kid spaces. A round up of family friendly bar carts. I shared some affordable floor mirrors . Using washi tape , I organized our electronic cords. I gave a preview of the 2015 Ikea catalog . A round up of industrial pendants . I created a fun office using colorful accessories. Well, the year is halfway over.  Here's what went on around these parts. I put together a pink and gold nursery . I shared some summer items from World Market . Another beautiful model home tour.   More Tolix Style bar stools . I finally planted my Fiddle Leaf Fig tree. I took you through the home of Sabrina Soto .   Some beach style living room inspiration. I made a DIY  art caddy for my daughter.   I made my own decorative box from a shoe box. I scored a Target patio set for more than half off. Some coffered ceiling eye candy. Yep, it's June.  The kids are out of school for the summer and it's time for fun.  My daughter is excited about just not having homework. Here's May's recap.     I started off by sharing a Mid-Century Modern Bedroom . I changed my pantry door into a chalkboard . I shared some rooms with layered rugs over carpet , including some rooms in my own home.     Ikea Home Tour has been transforming homes across the country using Ikea furniture and some clever storage tips. I shared our new bar stools . The Nate Berkus spring has some fabulous finds for the home. I put together an inspiration board of yellow and teal . April Month In Review

Can you believe it's May already?  Where is the year going?  It's been a good month around here.  In case you missed anything or are new around here, here's a recap for you. I started things off with a look in Pharrell's Miami Penthouse . I shared with you a gray and pink girl's bathroom board, in case I want to switch things up in there later. The TV gallery wall in the loft is complete. Green is another accent color I decided to bring into the loft.  I love seeing Ikea hacks and share some with you. The HGTV Smart Home is definitely beautiful and I think it gave me some ideas for our home. Toys are overtaking our downstairs so I found some stylish toy storage options.
