Bathroom Art With PhotoWall

Image
Every room needs art. Whether it be a canvas or framed, art kind can complete a space. It adds texture to the space and another dash of color and interest. We are in the process of designing our master bathroom and want it to feel like a retreat. We want to enter a spa every time we walk in. All the cares of the world to just fall away when we're in it. When choosing art for the bathroom, I wanted soothing color and theme. When PhotoWall reached out to try one of their canvas prints, I knew exactly what I wanted. A little piece of nature. I chose the Stones canvas. I love the serene feeling that this piece gives off. The colors are soothing and the stones are very spa-like. One of the good things about purchasing from PhotoWall is that you can choose the size you want to best fit your space. You can go so far as cropping and changing the actual objects in the picture. If there's a dinosaur in the picture on the website, you can choose to make it a dog. Now that's cus...

Time for Spring Style

Image
Spring is quickly approaching people!  That means warmer temps and more daytime outings.  It also means new clothes and accessories to accommodate those temp changes!  Thankfully my husband understands that and likes to get in on the shopping action too.  Over the years his style has matured and he likes to look good when we go out.  I must say he has a good sense of style. One thing my husband loves to have is a good watch.  He tends to go for name brands so they aren't going to be cheap.  Let's be real, a watch is probably one of the only accessories a man wears so it should look good and stand out.  A watch should also be of quality and last a long t ime.  Accessories also elevate the outfit am I right?  My stylish fella likes to dress and having a fashionable watch on his arm kicks things up a notch. I jumped at the chance to partner with JORD .  They are a maker of unique wood watches powered by Swiss moveme nt ....

February Sponsors

Well it's a new month which means new sponsors! Melanie Bear Rabbit Bear Ever since high school, I have loved to write. And I've loved to sew and make things for my friends and family. I remember making custom decorative rabbits for friends in high school as Christmas presents. I think my grandparents have one lying around, too. Growing up, my “Granny”, as she is lovingly called, taught me how to sew and make the use of recyclable materials. My Home Economics class in high school (yes, I’m old enough to be part of the group that was required to take Home Ec.!) inspired needle working and cooking. It’s kind of funny now, but I even made it to a state home ec tournament!! I took a hiatus from writing and DIYing in college. It wasn't until I was married to my hubby that I picked it up again (something about renovating a house from the ground up will do that to you.). Having a baby will also spark more than maternal instinct- for me it sparked...

Beth Anne Adventures of Homeownership I've always preferred travel and adventure to "nesting," but after buying a little home of my own I became hooked on every detail of creating a comfortable haven.  This blog is my way of recording the adventures of learning and doing all the steps necessary to having a home worthy of sharing with others. Cameron Homemade   I love to create . . . just about anything.  I sew, knit, crochet, paper craft, have a kiln that needs to be hooked up and a pottery wheel that needs to be dusted off.  My two kids keep me grounded and remind me of what is MOST important in life, and my husband may be the most patient man on Earth.  In between all this, I work nights as an emergency room nurse. ...
