Decorating Cents

Since my daughter got a desk I've been thinking of ways I can style it without taking over a space that is supposed to be hers.  Also the cutesy things I see for a desk I know will end up on the floor.   I made a simple printable for her desk and stuck it in an Ikea frame.  I want her desk to be a happy place to sit and be creative and I thought this was the perfect little touch. With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, I've been seeing the cutest printables.  I tend to gravitate to the ones about love in general and not specifically Valentine's day.  I wanted to share some of them.

We were sitting down at dinner one night and the subject of Easter came up.  We had never discussed Easter with our daughter and the reason we celebrate this day.  We did the Jesus was born on Christmas discussion so now's a good time to explain this.  This conversation led me to write down some words that reminded me of Jesus and his death and resurrection. I thought I would share.   Enjoy!

I won't be doing any decorating for Valentine's Day but I will put out this one printable I made. For those that saw my Thanksgiving Printable , this is a refresher tutorial.  For those that are new to making printables, welcome. Start by opening Picnik.com .  T here is no way to open a blank document here so you have to upload any photo.  Click upload a photo.  Since I wanted my document to be portrait, I uploaded a photo that was already in portrait view. Once your picture is uploaded, select Stickers from the Edit tab.  Under the Geometric shape section, choose the rectangle.  The sticker is automatically horizontal so you may have to rotate it if your picture is portrait.  Enlarge the sticker to cover your uploaded photo and change the background color to your choice.  My sticker is white so it may be hard to see here. You can now begin to add your words.  Select Text from the Edit Tab.  Type in your word, choose the font, and click add.  You can change the color and size of the words also. Contin...

I normally don't decorate for Thanksgiving.  Since we're having guests over, I wanted to add a few items to make the place welcoming.  I've seen subway art around so I decided to give it a try at making my own.
