I have t eamed up with some great wo men to bring yo u 10 Days o f O rganiz ing.  We are here to give you tips for your home to get you ready for the new year.   Now that Christmas has come and gone, the toys remain.   Between us and the g randparents, my kids got everything on th eir lists and more.  We thought we had done good by getting the kids a few toys each a nd a new game console to share between them .  Well , then there's the gr and parents.  I was thin king one toy per kid per set right ?  Wrong.  Sev eral items per kid .  Some we haven 't even op ened yet.  HELP!!  We are grateful though.  I never want to hear that they are bored though. I ha d started to purge some of th e t oys t he week before Christmas.  After Christmas however, I realized I needed to weed things down even more, especially in my son 's room .  I pulled all the toys out and went through them with each kid.  My son, who...

Changes Upstairs

Since we have been here a little over five years, I wanted to go back and look at the makeovers that have been done so far.  If you missed the downstairs, go here .    My daughter's room was one of the first to be fini shed.  Here's the before.  Definitely not appealing for a spunky girl like mine. I filled her wall up with DIY art , put up a temporary light , made some DIY curtains a nd pillows , bought a desk , a nd made a sunburst mirro r for over her dresser. As you know, I am currently in the process of changing her room again.  We painted it gray to give it a new look.  Things are looking good so far. Her bathroom received a makeo ver.  I used the green from her b edroom as the accent col or.   Ne xt up is my son's room.  It st ayed empty for a while when we moved in.  It was going to become a guest room but we found out we would soon be getting a new family m em ber.  I absolutely loved h...

Boy Room Sources

Image
Good morning.  As promised, I'm back with sources for my son's big boy room.  This space was so fun to makeover . I stumbled upon this headboard while wandering the aisles.  I loved the clean lines, espresso color, and beadboard detail.  The metal letter was something I really wanted in the room and so glad I stuck with it.  Originally I was going to stick with prints above the bed.  The bedding was another item I had my mind made up about.  The orange chevron pillow was brought in from the loft.  The colors work perfectly in here. Headboard - Big Lots Metal letter - Hobby Lobby   Comforter - Target   Pillow - H&M Striped wall - DIY   I like the stripe on strip e effect of the wall and comforter.   Rug - Urban Outfitters L ight - Ikea , added ribbon I reall y love this side of the room now.  Before the picture shel ves were here.  This car blueprint really makes a statement...

Modern Industrial Boy Room Reveal

How did Monday get here so fast?  The week end flew by.  It was 60 degrees and sunny here.  It was so nice to get out and enjoy the warm weather with the kids. I fin ishe d my son's big boy room!  I love it and he loves it.  He was so happy when he first slept in his new bed.  He was outg rowing the crib so it was time to go bigger.  I kept the same color palette except I swapped light blue for navy blue a n d a few touches of green .  I'll quit talking and let the pictures do their thing.   I really wanted to keep the bed espresso.  I like the dark wood against the lighter gray wall.  I found this beadboard headboard at Big Lots.  I t has the pe r fect lines and color. I knew I wanted to add the metal letter above the bed.  It adds some industrial to the room.  I told you the first purchase for the new room was the bedding .  I think the navy stripes go s o well with the gray walls.  I br...
